Gulf Policy for Assistance during travel

The company will provide the beneficiary with immediate assistance when unforeseen accidents occur unexpectedly within the borders of the geographical area which is determined herein. The provided assistance will be according to the benefits outlined in the policy, as follows.

First: Personal Assistance

• The company undertakes to meet all the expenses of transport of the beneficiary to the hospital or to the usual place of residence of the beneficiary, in the case of sickness or accident.
• Travel costs as a result of sickness or injury of the beneficiary during travel.
• Travel and stay over of one immediate family member. The company will meet the cost of the return journey to the place of hospitalization for an amount of US $150 per day for a maximum period of 10 days.
• Travel costs incurred as a result of the death of an immediate family member. The company will arrange the return of the beneficiary to his usual place of residence, this benefit is available only when the beneficiary is unable to use the means of transport used on the original journey.
• Medical costs due to emergency injury or sickness of the beneficiary outside the usual country of residence; The company will meet the cost of treatment, pharmaceutical products, surgery and radiology fees up to a maximum payment of US Dollars 5000 (except the pre-existing diseases and disabilities).
• Extension of stay of the beneficiary as a result of emergency sickness or injury, based on certified medical advice for an amount of US $ 150 per day for a period of 5 days.
• Arrange for the repatriation of the corpse for burial in the usual country of residence or the place of burial. The maximum amount payable is US $ 2000within the GCC Countries and US $ 5000 in all the other countries.
• The company will arrange for sending the urgently prescribed medicines by the doctor to the beneficiary in case of their unavailability in the place to which the beneficiary has travelled (Expenses of sending only).

Second: Assistance provided to the car

Towing or transporting the car outside the usual country of residence in the event of breakdown of the car. The company will arrange to tow or transport the car to the nearest repairing place.

The maximum amount that can be paid is

• US $ 150 for towing.
• US $ 300 for transporting the car when using a winch is required.

No amount will be paid under this benefit for the cost of repairing the car whereas the cost of repairing the car will be on the account of the insured, the beneficiary.

The company will also cover the hotel expenses up to US $ 120 per beneficiary daily for a maximum period of 3 days in case that the breakdown cannot be repaired in the same day.

Third: Luggage Assistance

If the luggage of the beneficiaries is stolen or damaged in a car accident, the company will compensate the beneficiaries , for its value up to US $ 100 per person and up to a maximum of US $ 200 per car, provided that:

• The company is not liable for the theft of the luggage which is not transported inside the boot of the car.
• Evidence proving that the beneficiary reported the theft or robbery to the authorities in either case and an accident report listing the stolen items and their estimated value if the car suffers from an accident.

The company will provide the beneficiary with assistance for the preparation of any reports and provide advice for any necessary negotiations for the recovery of the lost luggage.

Fourth: Legal Assistance

In the event of a traffic accident involving the car described in the schedule of the policy, the company will pay the cost of defense against the criminal charges arising from the traffic accident and a maximum amount of US $ 2000 will be paid. The company, on behalf of the beneficiary, will deposit the financial bail amount which is required by the appropriate authorities in the foreign courts (on the basis of being a loan) and the beneficiary is bound to pay any amounts paid on his behalf.
